Contributions to Irish Government Consultation on Remote Work
The Irish Government requested written submissions on Remote Work future guidance, I contributed jointly on four submissions related to Mental Health, Learning and Training. Read about them here.
In the course of my advocacy for remote work and through my training and teachings I work with many collaborators and partners. When the request for submission came from the DBEI in Ireland earlier this summer, I partnered with these individuals and organisations to create four joint submissions to the public consultation (submitted on the 8th of August, 2020), listed below:
Remote Work Skills Competence Framework - TU Dublin Future of Work Module Team - Joint Submission
Recommendation to create a Remote Work Skills Competence Framework to guide the alignment of the various training and education initiatives.
Proactive Mental Health Initiatives - Spectrum.Life - Joint Submission
Endorsing proactive employee wellbeing supports (from Ireland’s biggest EAP provider), that would are both being offered and in development and supporting positive mental health.
Virtual Internships and specific training initiatives - John O’Duinn - Joint Submission
Guidance on the provision of practical company based internships, programmes and initiatives.
Disaster Recovery and Carbon Emissions Reduction Measurement - John O’Duinn Joint Submission
Submission proposing “distributed by default” and calculating the carbon emissions reduction measurement (as a key business KPI) going forward.
